Wildlands Conservancy - Get Out! for Wellness: Hickory Run State Park
Join us for an afternoon of exploration, learning, and fresh air as we enjoy one of Pennsylvania’s finest state parks. Discover the natural beauty of Hickory Run State Park on a 2.6-mile out-and-back hike that is perfect for all ages. We’ll explore a mix of habitats with minimal elevation change along the Beach, Nature, and Deer Trails. Near the vernal pools on Deer Trail—an old logging road—there’s a chance we’ll spot signs of frogs, toads, or salamanders. Birdwatchers will also enjoy this trail as it offers great birding opportunities. After the hike, take some time to visit the Visitor Center, which features 2,400 square feet of interactive exhibits highlighting the park’s natural and cultural history.
