Job Description: Cafe Cook (Part-Time)
Location: Ma’s Crepes & Cakes, 46 West Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229
Shifts: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: $13-$19/hr

About the Role: We’re seeking a dependable, motivated Cafe Cook to join our kitchen team at Ma’s Crepes & Cakes. If you take pride in your work, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and love preparing quality food, this role is for you. You’ll be responsible for setting up the kitchen each day, preparing ingredients, cooking and assembling crepes, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare the kitchen, restocking, and preparing produce, sauces, and compotes.
● Receive orders from the cashier and prepare them accurately and efficiently.
● Cook and assemble crepes to meet quality and presentation standards.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen throughout your shift.
● Ensure all ingredients are properly stored and rotated to minimize waste.
● Communicate clearly with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth order flow.
● Assist with closing duties, including cleaning and organizing the kitchen for the next day.

What Success Looks Like:
● The kitchen is fully stocked and prepped before opening.
● Crepes are consistently cooked and presented with care.
● You keep your station tidy and comply with all food safety standards.
● Orders are completed quickly and accurately, even during busy times.
● You support a positive team environment through clear communication and reliability.

Requirements:
● Serve Safe Certification
● Available Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday for opening or closing shifts.
● Experience in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred.
● Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
● Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
● Commitment to cleanliness, efficiency, and food quality.
