Wildlands Conservancy: Lehigh River Sojourn!
• Saturday, June 10 at 8:00 am – Meet at Pocono Whitewater at 1519 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe, PA for whitewater rafting through Lehigh Gorge State Park from Drakes Creek to Glenn Onoko with opportunity to camp overnight (Friday) at Lehigh River’s only riverside campground. • Sunday, June 11 at 9:00 am – Meet at 2750 Hugh Moore Park Rd., Easton, PA for a shuttle to Sand Island for a light breakfast and then canoeing downstream, viewing bald eagles and experiencing our metro-wilderness. Then at Rt. 33 boat access, stop for catered lunch and educational program, and paddle down along Island Park for an exploration of this unique area. There is an option to camp overnight (Saturday) at the Hickory Run State Park.
