Wildlands Conservancy - Get Out! for Wellness: Mount Wismer

This 2.5 mile out-and-back hike to the Mount Wismer viewpoint is considered moderate to challenging, with typical Poconos rocky trails and stretches of steep climbs. The route we are taking begins at the top of the mountain, and so is a bit easier than the typical route. From the overlook, enjoy views of Skytop’s West Mountain, Gravel Pond, Spruce Mountain and beyond. Leashed dogs allowed. There are no on-site restrooms. Leave No Trace- pack out what you pack in. Directions: The trailhead is off Route 447 in Barrett Township, Pa. From the Canadensis stoplight, take Route 447 north four miles. Sign for the trailhead is on your right.
