Wildlands Conservancy - Flying Squirrels @ Thomas Darling Preserve
The northern flying squirrel is an endangered species in PA. Wildlands Conservancy has flying squirrel nest boxes throughout Thomas Darling Preserve and so far, several of the more common southern flying squirrel have been observed using them. This 1300-acre preserve is home to one of the state’s largest spruce forests. Join us as we explore this unique habitat and check the nest boxes for flying squirrels. We’ll warm up afterwards with some hot cocoa. Park in the lot across from 606 PA-940 Pocono Lake, PA 18347. There is a fee; please register online.
