Volunteer Fair-Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor
The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC) will be hosting a Volunteer Fair to celebrate a new year of volunteering within the Corridor! The DLNHC preserves, interprets, and leverages the nationally significant history of the over 165-mile transportation route between Wilkes-Barre and Bristol, Pennsylvania. By building and maintaining public and private partnerships, we create community connections. We could not accomplish this if we didn't have an incredible group of volunteers supporting the organization. We are recruiting for: Trail Patrollers Adopt-A-Section, Child Educators, Outreach Crew, Program Assistants, Canal Museum Help, Museum Gardeners, Collections Volunteers, Locktender's House Docents. The Volunteer Fair will celebrate all volunteers while also creating new connections in the community. All are welcome, in fact, bring your friends and family too! We will be providing updated information about the organization, recruiting for upcoming volunteer opportunities and sharing important dates for the year. The event will be organized similar to a career fair so come ready to mingle and learn! Volunteering at the DLNHC is a great way to learn more about local history, stay active on the D&L Trail and/or meet new people at community events! Snacks and beverages will be provided. Come celebrate with us! If you're unable to attend the event but are interested in learning more, please reach out to our Event & Volunteer Coordinator at outreachcoordinator@delawareandlehigh.org
