Sept. 11th Palmerton Chamber of Commerce Luncheon
SAVE THE DATE – TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 11th
LEARN MORE ABOUT PALMERTON HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CARE IN CARBON COUNTY
What is the future of health care services in Palmerton? We all recently learned that our local hospital will no longer provide in-patient services and that St. Luke’s is proposing to build a new $80 million facility near the Pennsylvania Turnpike entrance off Route 209. What does this mean for the communities in our immediate area that have come to rely on local emergency care services?
Mark your calendar for our next meeting at noon on Tuesday September 11th at Bert’s Steakhouse at 416 Delaware Avenue. At that time, we will hear from Terry Purcell, President of the St. Luke’s Palmerton Campus. Purcell will be accompanied by other executives from the Hospital who will share St. Luke’s vision of health care in Carbon County. In particular, they will answer your questions concerning our continued ability to access local emergency care and out-patient services. Carbon County is growing and there are no more vital services than those that provide for our health care needs. This is one meeting you won’t want to miss.
We had previously planned on a review of the financial report for the year ended December 31, 2017 and to adopt a budget for the year 2019. Due to the important subject being addressed by St. Luke’s representatives, the financial matters will be deferred until the October 9th meeting. If you have any questions, please feel free to call.
Thanks for your continued support.
