Health & Heritage Walk - White Haven Tannery Walk

Join us as we explore the remnants of the Lehigh Tannery factory. The walk will head south on the D&L Trail to the ruins of the Lehigh Tannery. The tannery was the largest in the United States in the 1860s and 70s. At its peak, it produced 80,000 hides per year. Distance is approximately 3 miles roundtrip along flat terrain. If there’s time, we will head north of White Haven to see the remains of one of the Upper Grand Section locks. Meet at the paved parking lot at White Haven’s Trail Head. Leader: Vince Hydro
