Elk Viewing Trail Snowshoe Hike
Elk Viewing Trail is a 2.7-mile lollipop shaped hike, departing from Trexler Nature Preserve’s Environmental Education Center. Bison and elk roam the fence line along the trail, and there is a good possibility of seeing both. We’ll provide binoculars and insight to the history and current status of Pennsylvania’s elk population. The trail is moderately difficult and open to all ages. Snowshoes will be available in the case of snow. Restrooms are available. Please leave pets at home so we don't scare the elk.
