2020 Focused Conversation-Women in Business Luncheon
Please join us for our Carbon County Women in Business March Luncheon on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 11:00am-1:00pm at The Gorge at Hofford Mill in Weissport. All are welcome!
Enjoy networking, lunch, raffle prize and our featured presentation: "Focused Conversation-An excellent way to assure meetings of all kinds are effective." by Elissa Garofalo, Executive Director, Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (Celebrating 20 Years!). Love them or hate them, you can't eliminate meetings. Taking time to think through and plan your meetings will help individuals and groups think, talk and work better together. Elissa will reveal some of her methods for conducting productive conversations.
ABOUT ELISSA GAROFALO:
Elissa Garofalo is Executive Director of the Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and a trained facilitator using “Technology of Participation” methods that help develop community consensus. Before joining the D&L she was a business owner in Jim Thorpe and an early pioneer in the town’s preservation and revitalization. She is President of Heritage PA, a Board Member of the Alliance of National Heritage Areas and is a founder of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce and THE LINK Trail Network. She is a steering committee member of The Circuit Trails - Philadelphia’s Regional Bicycle Network and the 9-11 Memorial Trail. A resident of Jim Thorpe most of her adult life she is an alumni of Penn State, attended Harvard’s Executive Training for Non-Profits and the proud mother Maggie and Jay.

Proceeds from Carbon County Women in Business 2020 luncheons and events will help support the work of Turn to Us. Turn to Us, a 501c(3) organization serves Carbon County and the Tamaqua area. Its mission is to advocate for individuals and their families, who are experiencing the impact of both major and chronic illnesses by offering personalized assistance and connection to available resources in a compassionate and hopeful environment.
Event Registration Policy: Reservation implies request to attend. All no-shows will be billed. 48-hour cancellation notice is required.
