2019 The Veery Up Close
CARBON COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER presents: "The Veery Up Close" March 20, 2019 6:00 pm (YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS PROGRAM) Celebrate spring's arrival with an evening devoted to one of our area's most fascinating native birds, The veery is a common but secretive robin relative, known for its haunting summer song. Penn State's Dr. Chris Goguen will give an overview of his research into the nesting and survival patterns of this woodland bird. He will share highlights from years of collected video footage. He'll also demonstrate his use of radiotelemetry to track young birds as they fledge. This program is FREE but you must register for this program by calling 570-645-8597.
