2018 Spectrum of Support - Tricks and Treats for Teens

**** This event is only for children with special needs and Autism**** Spectrum of Support is ECSTATIC to partner with Cathedral Rock Gym in Lehighton to bring you "Tricks and Treats for Teens!" This free event is ONLY for children ages 12 and up who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or special needs. Kids and siblings will get to try rock climbing while parents learn about available resources. REGISTRATION: You MUST call or text to register your child (ages 12 and up) for one of two climb times 5-7pm or 7-9pm. 610-762-0877. We will need your email or home address to send you Cathedral Rock Gym's waiver. SPECIAL GUEST: We are honored that John Mahinis, CEO of CTC Manufacturing, will be on hand to talk to parents about their career opportunities from 5-7pm. CTC Manufacturing is a 501 c(3) whose mission it is to provide job training and employment to individuals with disabilities who want to work. The organization’s existence began in 1971. Here is a summary of some of the work they currently do in house: · Their Valmont Industrial Park location has five conveyor lines (with room for expansion while currently functioning at 30% capacity) where they can pack, unpack, tape, and palletize goods. This location contains four docks. They are capable of printing BOLs and working with third party trucking companies for all necessary shipping arrangements. They currently do so for a Fortune 500 company. · The Beaver Meadows location is a kitting organization where they create kits for making industrial brushes, assembly tool and screw kits for outdoor furniture and end cap displays for large box stores, such as broom displays. · The Beaver Meadows location has full sewing, embroidery, and screen printing departments.
