Jenny's Sweets and More is a nostalgic candy store, with a twist. The mission of Jenny’s is to provide long-time memories of loved favorites, creating new memories with homemade delights and place smiles on each and every face that comes through our door. Every adult should feel like a “kid in a candy store” and every child should feel as if it’s Christmas.
Their goal is to promote acceptance by including rather than excluding to create a place for all to feel welcome and at home while enjoying a bit of their past or forming a new memory; a warm, fun, light, and yummy atmosphere where people want to visit and tell all of their friends about their experience.
Jenny’s is not just a nostalgic candy store; it is a place where a smile is placed on your face from the moment you open the door until long after you leave. It's a place to have fun by spinning the 1920’s carnival wheel for discounts or remember the days of drinking Moxie soda made with real cane sugar and to pass along the memories to your children and grandchildren. Many may not realize that Lehighton was the home of the Moxie Bottling Company in the 1930’s through early 60’s so for those who do, the sight of purchasing a 12 oz bottle from the cooler will be a trip down memory lane and for those who do not remember, it will be a story worth learning. It's a place that invites and encourages you to return to see what is new and inviting- to discover a long-loved favorite candy or to experience a new found mouth-watering delicacy. For the children, it's a place of amazement, filled with colorful candy and mouth-watering thrills. The experiences that they may never get to have anywhere else as they grow up. After they make their mouthwatering purchase, they can sit at the table in the front window and enjoy as they watch the traffic drive by. No one will rush them away or make them feel unwanted.
At the rear of the store, a 10ft chocolate case is filled with 14 flavors of fudge and almost 40 different varieties of chocolates to be purchased by the pound. These varieties will be comprised of one-of-a-kind homemade selections made by White Confections Homemade Candies and homemade Ladybugz fudge which cannot be purchased within 86 miles. Music will be playing; the scent of candy will fill the air and a feeling of home will be felt. There are over 100 penny candy jars filled with mix and match candy to be purchased by the pound, more than 70 gummi candy in Saf-T-Fresh containers to ensure each bite is as fresh as the next, over 40 sugar free selections, kettle corn and caramel corn, cotton candy, polish water ice , cookie dough, cake pops and more.
Jenny’s is a place where local crafters will have a home to showcase their work and have the much due spotlight shown upon them. Many extremely talented crafters reside in Carbon County and deserve the ability to publicly showcase and sell their work. Jenny’s will be a gathering place where local crafters from Carbon County will be promoted and showcased. As we spotlight a vendor, folks can visit the store, ask questions about the craft, learn how the craft is made, purchase the craft and candy. We want to give our local folks a place to shine and a chance to be recognized for the wonderful talent they possess; sometimes all we need is someone to believe in us and support us to open doors we never knew existed.
Plenty of free on street parking
