And trust your partner... this is essential!
This year the Carbon Adventure Race will be invading Foothill Farm! Join us for a fun filled day of physical and mental challenges that will test your strengths!
Carbon Adventure Race hosted by the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporations Future Leaders Council to get people out and active in the county.
The FLOCC is busy designing the course, laying out challenges and coming up with fun mental games to see who will be the 2018 Adventure Race Champs!
Adventure racing is a national phenomenon and a sport that actually rewards people for their participation (that’s your first hint!). Teams or individual participants are encouraged to register early to reserve their space at this year’s race. It’s time to push yourself to your physical, mental and emotional limits!
Teams of two can register for $50 and individuals can register for $30. Any individual attendee will be paired with another individual from the area. The FLOCC is encouraging local companies to get involved by pitting their staff against one another or bringn them together in what is sure to be a fun team building event!
This event is a great team building experience!

FAQ: A little more about the race.....
- How many challenges will be a part of the race? There will be 10 challenges.
- How much time will it take to complete the race? That depends on your team’s ability to successfully complete challenges.
- Will there be any team eliminations as in the TV show? No. But teams may receive a penalty if they don't successfully complete their challenge in the allotted amount of time.
- Is this race a physical or mental test of ability? Both. This event incorporates physical skill elements, such as running, combined with mental skills such as puzzle solving.
- What kind of training would you suggest to increase my team’s chances? Due to the “mystery” of the race challenges, training for this race is unlike any other. But since this race is completed in teams of two, you should consider training with your partner. You may take long walks or runs with your partner. You may consider working together on any problem solving games and raise the pressure level by using a clock and establishing time limits.
- What type of clothing would you suggest for the race day? Check the weather first so you can adjust what would be appropriate and comfortable for a race day. A definite must is comfortable running shoes and workout apparel. Consider the possibility that your clothing may get soiled or wet.
- How difficult is this race to complete? Some challenges for some teams are a breeze to complete; but others are far more challenging. That’s why it takes teamwork to be successful.
- What happens if it rains on race day? You get wet! The race will take place rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, racer safety is a top corncern. On the day of the race, there is always the potential for extreme weather conditions (for example: lightning, tornado, high winds, extreme heat, etc.). CCEDC will do all we can to make the experience as safe as possible. But if there is severe weather, the race may be delayed as race officials consult public safety officers. If there is more than a reasonable delay, or if conditions persist, race officials reserve the right to shorten or cancel the race. Entry fees are non-refundable. Please check this website (www.carboncountychamber.org) or your email before the race for any changes or cancellations. Once the race starts, race staff at each location will keep you updated about any weather-related changes that arise.
- Where is the race starting/finish line? Both the starting and finish line are at Foothill Farm, Lehighton
- Where should I park the day of the race? Parking is available at the farm, follow signs.
- Do I need to bring anything to the race? Each team is required to have a smartphone - you may need one to complete challenges and navigate between race locations.
- How will the rules be enforced? Race referees will be located along the entire race course to monitor racers. Teams violating the rules will be disqualified from the race immediately. You know the saying, "cheaters never win and winners never cheat." Have fun!!
