2016 D&L Opening Day for Trails Clean Up in Hugh Moore Park
Celebrate Earth Day, National Volunteer Month and Rails-to-Trails Conservancy?s Opening Day for Trails by giving back to the D&L! Come out to help the D&L, L.L. Bean Center Valley and the Children's Home of Easton clean up Easton?s Hugh Moore Park, home of our office and a trailhead on the 165-mile D&L Trail. Volunteers will meet in the main parking lot in Hugh Moore Park at 9:00am to break into groups for various activities including litter clean-up along Lehigh Drive, installing safety signs along the trail, clearing branches, planting flowers and more. If you can only come for part of the three hours, we?ll still welcome the help! Please wear appropriate clothes ? long pants and long sleeve shirts are best. Free lunch will be provided at noon for volunteers. This is a Great American Clean Up of PA registered event. Afterward, join L.L. Bean Center Valley and the D&L Staff for a guided bike ride on the D&L Trail. RSVP to Trail & Outreach Coordinator, Lauren Golden: (610) 923 ? 3548 x227 or lauren@delawareandlehigh.org. The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is the non-profit that connects you to nature, culture, community, recreation and industrial heritage via the D&L Trail and the National Canal Museum.
