Jim Thorpe Rotary's "Historic Jim Thorpe Walking Tours" Season Kickoff Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Join the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC), proud partner of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, as we celebrate the official kickoff of the 2026 Historic Jim Thorpe Tours season with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, July 8!
Presented by the Jim Thorpe Rotary, these guided walking tours have offered residents and visitors alike the opportunity to explore the rich history, architecture, and stories that have made Jim Thorpe one of Pennsylvania's most beloved destinations. Led by knowledgeable local guides, participants will experience the fascinating people, places, and events that shaped the community from its industrial roots to the vibrant town it is today.
The celebration will begin at 12:00 PM with networking, followed by the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 12:30 PM. Attendees are invited to stay for a complimentary Historic Jim Thorpe tour following the ceremony, which will last approximately one hour.
This event is free and open to the public. Whether you're a longtime resident, a history enthusiast, or visiting Jim Thorpe for the first time, we invite you to join us as we kick off another exciting season of discovering the stories behind one of Pennsylvania's most historic communities.
