The Rise of Bethlehem Steel National Canal Museum archivist and local historian Martha Capwell Fox will detail the rise of the great Bethlehem Steel Company from its beginnings as the Saucona Iron Company in 1857. It’s a fascinating journey and one that shaped life in the Lehigh Valley for more than 125 years. Musician/singer Doug Makofka will perform ethnic songs that were heard on the streets of South Bethlehem many years ago. A buffet of ethnic foods will be provided by Culinary Experts.
