The Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church and the Summit Hill Heritage Center (Center) are pleased to announce that the Presbyterian Church will begin to serve Free Summer Lunch to Kids at 44 West White Street in Summit Hill. Beginning Monday July 9, at 11 am to Noon the Church Volunteers will serve lunch to all kids who walk through the door.
Summer is a time of hunger for some kids as school is out where they receive free lunch in the Panther Valley School District.  The Presbyterian Church Members voted to offer lunch adding to the partnership with the Townhouses where Frank Tongue is also serving free lunch to kids in the Lansford Area.  All this is due to the overwhelming response of residents, and the media assistance in Carbon County for donations to fund the program.  The Presbyterian Church will be providing three weeks of food alternating with other churches in Summit Hill as well as the Center to complete the summer season ending August 17.  All Lunches will be served at the Presbyterian Church.
Further donations can be made to the SHHC, 1 West Hazard Street, Summit Hill PA. All donations will be used strictly for the summer food service.  Any monies not used this summer will be put into a fund to save for next year to ensure the Summer Food Service Program will take place in 2019.
Again, Thanks to All who helped get this program off the ground in 2018.
