Lifesharing Provider
HRC is actively seeking life sharing providers. A monthly stipend is provided to all life sharing host families in addition to support services throughout the duration of program participation. Life sharing host families provide an opportunity for individuals with disabilities and/or Autism to become part of a nurturing family dynamic - offering both a supportive relationship and a place to live. Lifesharing supports an individual in such a way that they have the ability to improve upon their quality of life, achieving independence and increasing their involvement in the community.
A Lifesharing host family can be a single adult, a couple, or a family unit, supporting up to two individuals in their home. This service can be long-term or utilized as a stepping stone towards independent living for the individual. Either way, your support plays an invaluable role in the enhancement and enrichment of a life.
Individuals supported in Lifesharing include children and adults with a wide variety of needs and challenges. They are matched with host families whose lifestyle and interests are similar to their own.
