Apr 23rd, 2023, 7:30PM - 9:00PM Join us to count amphibians crossing Institute Drive during their annual movement. This region contains the largest concentration of vernal pools in the state- nearly 500! Institute Drive is closed during April to allow salamanders, frogs, and toads to cross the road safely, making it a safe spot for us to count and record their movements in an effort to track populations over time. Last year, 400 amphibians were counted! Meet us here: east end of Institute Drive: 40.925049, -75.155716. Restrooms are not available. This program is offered free of charge with thanks to funding from Northampton County Parks & Recreation. Registration questions: bswayser@wildlandspa.org Program questions: dmotel@wildlandspa.org
