2019 Walking Tour in Jim Thorpe
Join the D&L and historian Vince Hydro for a walk along the D&L Trail between Jim Thorpe and Weissport, featuring the new Mansion House pedestrian bridge! During a leisurely walk with several stops, you’ll encounter the remains of Lehigh Canal locks, the site of an early iron furnace, and the remnants of the house where Robert Sayre grew up. Length: approx. 4 miles Difficulty: Easy Meeting Place: The Jim Thorpe Train Station (1 Susquehanna St, Jim Thorpe) at 9:45am Parking: In the surrounding lot or on-street (click here for more info) Cost: D&L Members: Free; Non-Members: $10 Registration Required- please call 610-923-3548 x246 or email museum@delawareandlehigh.org Space is limited to 25 participants Snacks will be provided.
