Friday, Aug. 30: REMOTE CONTROL (1988)- Aliens plot to take over the world via subliminal mind-control signals contained on VHS cassettes of a popular science fiction movie. VIDEODROME (1983)- In one of David (THE FLY, RABID) Cronenberg’s most bizarre and unsettling features, disreputable TV station operator Max Renn (James Woods) discovers and seeks to acquire a twisted new program which he soon learns contains dangerous transmissions that can alter reality by inducing brain damage, which is being used as part of a global conspiracy.
