This workshop partners two award-winning writers to bring participants a wide-ranging perspective on nature as inspiration for fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Kent Jackson of the Hazleton Standard Speaker shows how descriptive writing can influence thinking on issues of current importance. Retired Penn State writing instructor Bim Angst focuses on nature-inspired narrative structure and nature as metaphor. Participants will engage in their own writing exercises for discussion. The workshop is open to participants age 16 and up for a $10 fee. Light refreshments will be offered. Space is limited to 15 participants. Call to register.
