Join the Carbon County Women in Business for a special Yoga & Wellness luncheon. Registration and networking will take place 11:30 A.M. to Noon.
Noon to 1:00 P.M. enjoy lunch while learning about one of Carbon County's most unique Yoga Studios. A healthful and energizing lunch will be served!
(Director and Founder) Maya (E-RYT 200) has been studying yoga since 1997. Her first yoga classes were in Philadelphia, PA, where she was introduced to yoga at the University of the Arts through their dance program. From that point forward Maya explored many different kinds of yoga (Ashtanga, Anusara, Sivananda), but after a long period of injury her desire to be healthy brought her back to studying the Iyengar method with her teachers, Joan White and Holly Walck. She also has been inspired by studying with Dean and Rebecca Lerner, Patricia Walden, Manuso Manos, and Kofi Busia, all certified Iyengar teachers.. Maya is a certified yoga instructor, and a certified ChildPlay yoga teacher, through Yoga Alliance with over 1600 hours of teaching adults and children. She is also a certified English teacher and mother. Maya received her 200-hr certification at The Yoga Loft of Bethlehem, PA, under Jessie Thompson. Her teaching is grounded and intense with clear instructions. She helps her students understand and find joy in their yoga practice and deepen their body awareness,
