Canoes\, paddles\, personal floatation devices (PFD's)\, and safety staff provided. We'll be meeting at Launch B. The 320-acre lake was built in 1972 to help control severe flooding in the Borough of Jim Thrope. Also\, you may access many trails in the park and surrounding areas. Wildlands Conservancy is working with Jim Thorpe Borough to remove 5 dams on State Game Lands across the Lehigh in east Jim Thorpe to restore native brook trout. Bring closed-toe water shoes that can get completely wet\, water\, snacks\, sun hat and sun screen. Bathrooms are at the parking lot. Get Out for Wellness events are made possible in partnership with Lehigh Valley Health Network. This GOFW event has a nominal fee of $20/per person to cover equipment costs. Please register online.
