DESCRIPTION:I would like to take a moment of your time to bring your attention to the enclosed flyer.  We often take for granted that childhood hunger is no longer a major concern.   During the academic year\, our schools provide children in need with access to healthy meals.  It happens quietly and with little fanfare.  \n\nBut what happens during the summer recess?  A local church\, St. John's Episcopal in Palmerton\, is attempting to address this need with their "Summer Breakfast Bunch" program.  They provide children with a free breakfast and a bagged lunch.  When you read the enclosed flyer you may have the urge to help.  That "urge" will bring a feeling of warmth to you and to the children whose lives are enriched by your thoughtfulness. If you have any questions\, feel free to call St. John's Episcopal Church or the Palmerton Chamber office. \n\nBuckno Lisicky to Address the 2018 Changes in the Tax Code\n\n            This month our Chamber meeting returns to a familiar setting at Bert's Steakhouse at 416 Delaware Avenue at noon on Tuesday May 8th and this is one meeting you won't want to miss.   \n\nOur Guest Speaker will be Stan Bushner\, CPA of Buckno\, Lisicky\, & Co.\, who will discuss the implications of the recently enacted changes in the tax law.  We've heard much about lowered tax rates but will we all be affected in the same way? \n\nDo we really want to be surprised next January when we begin the arduous process of compiling information for our returns?  Come prepared with questions and Stan and his staff will help provide the answers. \n\n Join us on Tuesday and bring a friend.
