DESCRIPTION:Lehigh Valley Phantoms to Attend Sam Miller Filed Ice Rink Dedication\n\nJim Thorpe Community Athletic Association will be hosting the Sam Miller Field Ice Rink Dedication on Monday March 2nd 2020 from 4-5PM. The dedication will include players from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Hockey team as well as local entertainment. \n\nAll residents of Carbon County are invited to attend the dedication to meet the players and enjoy the ice rink. There will be music\, live dancing (ice dancing weather permitting)\, donor & volunteer recognition and an official dedication/ribbon cutting. In addition\, there will be a basket raffle to continue the fundraising efforts to build and improve the ice rink. \n\nThe Sam Miller Field was opened thanks to donations from area residents and businesses as well as corporate funders. The rink opened early this year and provides free ice skating and skate rental to all. The rink is open to the public\, weather permitting. \n\nAll are invited and encouraged to attend and welcome the Phantoms players to Jim Thorpe. Free parking is available adjacent to Sam Miller Field\, located at 122 North Ave.\, Jim Thorpe\, PA 18229.
