DESCRIPTION:The deadline for the Spring Round of Hotel Tax Disbursements is on Tuesday\, May 30\, 2020. To assist applicants with preparing their application\, a FREE Hotel Tax Disbursement Application Workshop will now be held in May (date to be announced). Christopher Barrett\, President/CEO\, Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau\, will present the program on best practices on applying for awards and answer attendees questions. Interested parties can register by calling the CCEDC at 610-379-5000 or online at www.carboncountychamber.org.\n\n \n\nApplications are available on the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corp.  website at  www.carboncountychamber.org by selecting the Economic Development tab then clicking on the Hotel Tax Disbursement or by stopping by the CCEDC office in Lehighton. Applications must be submitted to the CCEDC office by 4:30 p.m. on May 30th.   \n\n \n\nThe Hotel Tax Disbursement Program is made available through a tax that is collected by local hotels and B&B's in Carbon County.  To qualify for funds\, an organization must be a non-profit and must use the funds to create marketing programs that promote tourism in Carbon County. \n\n \n\nAcceptable projects are billboards\, TV\, radio or internet advertising\, website design\, promotional flyers\, etc. that promote tourism in Carbon County.
