DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE and plan to join us for our Palmerton Area Chamber February Luncheon. We will hear from Palmerton Area School District Interim Superintendent Al Lonoconus. \n\n \n\nBefore Palmerton\, he was interim superintendent in the Southern Columbia\, Shikellamy and Great Valley school districts for just over 16 years combined.                           \n\n\n\n                                         \nPalmerton schools are friendly communities of enthusiastic young people and supporting adults.\n\nPalmerton Area School District and its community is committed to the success of all students in academics\, athletics\, art\, music\, and technology. We are fortunate to have a staff of caring\, quality educators who are dedicated to our mission. Their focus is on growth\, achievement\, and success for our twenty-two hundred students\, K-12.\n\nWe are very proud of our enthusiastic\, well behaved students\, highly dedicated and very talented teachers and support staff\, and supportive school board.\n\nPalmerton is located sixteen (16) miles north of Allentown\, PA and one (1) hour south of Scranton\, PA off Exit 34-Mahoning Valley (New Dual#34/74)-of the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.\n\nOur Carbon County school district is comprised of two (2) elementary schools\, K-6\, and a middle school\, grades 7-8. Grades 9-12 are housed in our high school. Our young people are able to elect technical\, academic\, and business curriculum.
