DESCRIPTION:Carbon County Women & Business | Lehigh Valley Women's Business Council Presents: STORIES BUILD BUSINESS: THE ART OF STORYTELLING Breakfast\n\n \n\nThe Carbon County Women in Business and the Lehigh Valley Women's Business Council invite you to join us on Tuesday\, September 17\, 2019 from 7:30am - 9:00am for a special joint breakfast event at Blue Mountain Resort as we welcome Jamie Kizer of East Stroudsburg University for an empowering program: Stories Build Businesses: The Art of Storytelling.\n\n\n\nCarbon County Women in Business is sponsored by the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation\, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce\, Andreas Plumbing\, Heating & Air Conditioning\, Lehighton KIA and Capital BlueCross.\n\n\n\nAbout Jamie Kizer\n\nA serial entrepreneur and founder of 6 different businesses\, Jamie loves to share her experiences and lessons learned.  Knowing both success & failure\, she is committed to supporting\, lifting\, and strategizing with other dreamers\, doers\, thinkers\, and difference-makers.  In addition to remaining on the speaker's circuit\, writing\, and hosting workshops\, Jamie recently accepted a position at East Stroudsburg University\, managing their Entrepreneurial Leadership Center and inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.   A graduate of Penn State (both graduate & undergraduate degrees) she's getting ready for another exciting season of football.  \n\n\n\nAbout the WBC\n\nThe Women's Business Council's mission is to empower\, recognize and inspire women in business and the community in the Lehigh Valley.  The Women's Business Council provides information and a networking forum for women in management\, professional and private enterprise. Monthly luncheons rotate between networking sessions and educational programs. Luncheon topics include health issues\, sales and marketing strategies\, personal growth and professional development.\n\n \n\nAbout the Chamber\n\nThe Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce's mission is to serve as the voice for business by continuously improving the economic climate and creating growth opportunities for the Greater Lehigh Valley region. We accomplish this through business-to-business networking events and marketing products\, affinity programs and exclusive\, money saving member benefits\, training programs\, government affairs initiatives and public policy advocacy\, and community development enterprises.  With nearly 5\,000 members who employ more than 200\,000 individuals\, The Chamber is the largest in Pennsylvania and New Jersey\, and in the top ten nationwide.\n\nAbout the WIB\n\nThe 2019 CCEDC Carbon County Women in Business is a group that meets the second Thursday of each month for lunch\, networking and personal and professional development. The program for 2018 has been redesigned to empower women to cultivate their personal power to create their most ideal life both personally and professionally. At each meeting\, attendees can expect opportunities to learn from guest speakers\, who will address topics that are related to our yearly theme\, and to receive valuable tools to immediately implement changes in their lives.
