DESCRIPTION:The Eckley Miners' Village Associates (EMVA) are celebrating a momentous occasion for Eckley Miners Village! Eckley Miners' Village is a perfectly preserved historic patchtown that is a keystone feature of local history. 50 years ago\, Paramount Pictures selected Eckley Miners' Village\, as well as several other locations throughout Carbon and Luzerne Counties\, for the on-site filming location of the Molly Maguires' starring Richard Harris and Sean Connery. The EMVA and the Mauch Chunk Opera House are collaborating for a premiere showing of the film in Jim Thorpe on Thursday\, April 19\, 2018.
