DESCRIPTION:Join us for the official Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting celebration of the much anticipated Lehighton Outdoor center. \n\n\n\nThe event will be from 10am - 12pm with the official ribbon cutting at 11am\n\n\n\nThere will be music\, light snacks and beverages\, raffles and more ~ be sure to register! \n\n\n\n"The Lehighton Outdoor Center is the new home of Jim Thorpe River Adventures and Northeast PA Kayak School.  From the first meeting with Lehighton's Borough Manager Nicole Beckett\, we felt welcomed here.  We learned a lot along the way.  Most of all\, we learned just how many people wanted to see this project succeed.  The challenges were many\, but at each one there was someone with a solution\, a smile\, and an encouraging word.  I have the honor of working with some of the finest people I know   river guides\, kayak instructors\, bike guides\, and people who are simply outstanding human beings.  Every one of these people helped guide this project to its completion.  You know who you are.\n\n \n\nWe look forward to succeeding here in Lehighton\, and earning the respect of our community.  We will work diligently to be a positive force\, for the local economy\, for adults\, and for our young people.  We believe in the environment we create for people of all ages.  My coworkers and I work hard to build a Positive Memory and a Maximum Experience for everyone who chooses to join us.  The vehicles for all that fun and positive energy are rafts\, kayaks\, bikes\, and yes\, great coffee. We're all about the Real Experience over Contrived Experience.  We link the Outdoor Experience to people   Moms\, Dads\, Sons\, Daughters\, family\, friends\, and new acquaintances.  That's what we do best.\n\n \n\nAs a company of people\, we have years of fun ahead of us.  For me\, I am filled with gratitude for the chance to be able to do this.
