Immigrants from Italy were integral to the growth of the slate business in the towns of Roseto\, Bangor and Pen Argyl in Northampton County. Martha explains why they came to America and how Italian culture spread throughout the valley after they arrived. Lou and his band will play many traditional Italian songs. This cruise will include a lift lock experience in Lock 47 at the lower end of the canal in Hugh Moore Park.
