DESCRIPTION:The four-week course will cover meal planning\, exercise ideas\, the basics of monitoring and how to check your blood sugar\, oral medications & insulin\, complications\, changing behaviors and resources for people with diabetes. Medicare Part B covers 10 hours of initial group classes for a beneficiary who has been diagnosed with diabetes and/or who has not had formal training in the past. For those with third party or commercial insurances\, please consult with your insurance provider for reimbursement details. A physician referral and pre-registration are required.
