Help us help the homeless:

On-going support needed.
Although we do annual campaigns and on-going fundraising efforts we can always use help and support from community members.  We noted an initial hit to our budget in January of 2018 and just recently the homeless here at Family Promise were notified of a secondary cut in funding.
Due to the budgeting cuts we are reaching out for your support.  Family Promise of Carbon County is currently seeking the following items to help to defray the cost of daily activities here at the Day Center in Lehighton:
Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Laundry Detergent, Dish Soap, Windex, Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Towels, Wash Clothes, Dryer Sheets, Healthy Snacks, Gas Cards, Diapers size 4, 5, 6, and juice or water bottles.

Family Promise of Carbon County is also seeking volunteers, families, and/or businesses that can donate time.  We are seeking people who are willing to make a meal, provide fellowship and/or sleep over at one of our 12 host churches.   This experience is amazing and can be life changing for both the volunteer and for the guests of Family Promise.

About Family Promise
Family Promise of Carbon County provides a safe shelter program for homeless families, offering an alternative to sleeping in cars in local parking lots. The program’s budget is modest and provides a high return on investment. Family Promise organizes volunteers to prepare and serve meals and coordinates sleeping locations each week in area churches. By using volunteers, Family Promise leverages each dollar donated to the organization to provide more than $3 worth of services to homeless families. Although no price can be put on the value of safety and security of the families served, the program is a model of efficiency.
